This is a mixed media collage with a variety of beads, glass, small mirrors, photography by Kim Sowa, and acrylic paint on canvas. The piece was influenced by a trip taken to Hawaii. I was inspired to create a piece of art with no fear or judgment on the outcome. I let go of these negative thoughts that pull artists down and created this piece which is a journey of self reflection and discovery.

The materials I used such as small mirrors allows the light to shine on the canvas in a way that is personal and spiritual in my creation process. This work of art is blessed with love and light.

Through my own hardships, I have found healing in art--therapy in the awareness of the art process. Then extending out of this realization to other forms of art. And within the last five years, I have embraced the art form of photography further applying an artistic eye.
